Greetings to EVERYONE at Puerto Limon Agency, |
| |
It seems like
just a week or two ago we were calling you
to ask for a quote on shipping our belongings
from the States to our home in Costa Rica.
In reality it's been two months (April 26th)
but those days were short, and pleasant,
because we knew that each day brought us
closer to 'having our stuff' again. I just
had to take a break from the sorting process
(that will probably take another month or
so,) to express our thanks to all. I wouldn't
have thought that it could have been completed
as simply as it was, what with all the 'stories'
I had heard about importing personal property.
I know that
you are developing a web site, and although
I really detest those phony 'Question and
Answer' pages, and the equally as phony
'Letters of Testimony,' I thought that,
if you would allow me, and if you would
include this introduction, maybe I could
address your website readers directly, because
they really need to know how easy you all
made it.
And so…

Dear Website Reader, |
| |
I just had a 40' container shipped from the East Coast to CR. Had the whole thing done without lifting a finger. There's this outfit in Puerto Limon called 'Puerto Limon Agency.' (506-2758-2022) and they took care of EVERYTHING. I contacted some of the other companies, as well, but Limon Agency (an English speaking Agency) just struck me as a bit more personal than any of the other importers that I contacted. He gave me a dollar figure at the outset (including taxes) that came within a few dollars of the actual cost at the end. The stuff cleared customs without any problems. My stuff is here, now, (ALL OF IT) and it just didn't seem to be the big hassle that everyone is talking about.
Incidentally, Puerto Limon Agency's "price" was well below the only other price I was able to get (from some business called "(deleted)”) and I don't mean just a couple of bucks. I saved hundreds on a 40 foot container. Give them a call. Most of the people in the office speak enough English to make even me feel comfortable (and my Spanish is really poor.)
Thanks for listening,
Charlie Corby (contact info granted upon request)

Satisfied customer |
As they say,
no news is good news. We are so pleased
with your service, words can't do the subject
justice. We lack a phone line, so communicating
is slow, but all went great. Everything
arrived in great shape. Even the expensive
stuff that we worried about needlessly.
Feel free to send this E-mail to any who
have concerns. Any time you're in
Tambor, look us up.
Sincerely, Daniel and Irene |
